Meet Dr. Summer
She/Her
Dr. Summer brings over 15 years of experience, a deep commitment to patient comfort, and a passion for building meaningful connections with every smile she cares for. A proud graduate of Creighton University School of Dentistry, she is known for her gentle approach, attention to detail, and ability to make even the most anxious patients feel at ease.
Dr. Summer is proud to be part of the LGBTQ+ community and has built Innovative Dental Care as a place where everyone, regardless of background or identity, can feel safe, respected, and genuinely cared for.
When she’s not in the office, Dr. Summer is a proud wife and mom to a blended family of five wonderful children. She and her wife, Sarah, spend most of their free time cheering on their kids at baseball, soccer, and softball games all over Omaha. She loves being part of this vibrant community, both as a neighbor and as your local dentist.
Dental Hygienists
Our hygiene team is focused on more than just clean teeth—they’re here to help you feel comfortable, cared for, and confident in your oral health. With years of experience and a gentle touch, they provide thorough cleanings and personalized guidance to keep your smile healthy for the long term. They take the time to get to know you and answer your questions, so your visit feels relaxed and informative. Your comfort and care are always their top priority.
Tanya
Registered Dental Hygienist
Tanya has been a dental hygienist since 2008 and has been working closely with Dr. Summer since 2018. A proud graduate of Iowa Western, she is known for her gentle touch and genuine care for patients. Outside the office, she enjoys life with her husband, two daughters, and their dog, Rex.
Tina
Registered Dental Hygienist
Tina graduated from Iowa Western in 2001 and brings many years of experience and knowledge. She is passionate about patient education and building long-term relationships. Outside the office, she enjoys time with her husband, teen daughter, and their two dogs.
Alyssa
Registered Dental Hygienist
Alyssa is a dedicated hygienist since 2021 and proud graduate of Iowa Western. She strives to make each appointment comfortable and informative. When not at the office, she stays busy with her husband, two kids, and their family dogs.
Dental Assistants
Our Dental Assistants work closely with the doctor to make your visits as easy and comfortable as possible. They’re by your side during treatments to offer support, answer questions, and help things go smoothly from start to finish. Whether it’s your first visit or your tenth, they’re focused on creating a positive experience every time. Their calm, caring presence makes a big difference in your dental care.

Lead Certified Dental Assistant
Ali has worked alongside Dr. Summer since 2016 and leads our clinical team with skill and heart. Patients appreciate her experience, efficiency, and warm energy. She recently welcomed her first daughter with her husband and also has two beloved dogs at home.
Rebecca
Certified Dental Assistant
Rebecca has five years of hands-on experience and plenty of dental work of her own throughout the years, she understands how important it is to make patients feel at ease and understood. Outside the office, she enjoys life with her husband, their first son, and their rescued dog, Whisper.
Mariah
Dental Assistant
Mariah supports both our patients and team with her calm presence and attention to detail. She helps make every visit smooth and comfortable, whether assisting chairside or keeping things running behind the scenes. Around the office, she’s also one of our resident TikTok stars, always ready to bring the fun alongside Tanya. Her positive energy and creativity shine both in and out of the operatory.
Administrative Care Team
Our Administrative Care Team is here to make every part of your visit smooth and stress-free. From scheduling appointments to helping you understand your insurance, they’re your go-to resource for any questions along the way. With friendly smiles and a helpful attitude, they keep everything running seamlessly behind the scenes. Their goal is to make sure you always feel welcomed, supported, and well taken care of.

Scheduling Coordinator
Mikaela keeps our schedule running like clockwork, coordinating appointments and working closely with Audry to help patients make the most of their insurance benefits and treatment plans. She has a natural talent for finding solutions that work for both your smile goals and your schedule. Outside the office, she stays busy with her husband and their four children.
Audry
Insurance Coordinator
Audry keeps our patients informed and confident in their insurance coverage every step of the way. She has two children, including one currently attending UNL. Her friendly and organized approach helps make every visit stress-free.
